Sturgeon Mining LLC — Equipment Alert SMS Notifications
Last updated: August 1, 2026

Sturgeon Mining LLC operates a privately owned gold mining dredge. This policy covers the SMS equipment-alert notification service described in our Terms and Conditions, and applies only to that service.

Information we collect

We collect only the mobile telephone numbers of the individuals who have consented to receive equipment alerts, together with a record of that consent. We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, location data, device identifiers, or any other personal information through this service.

How we use it

Mobile numbers are used for one purpose only: to deliver automated alerts when the dredge's monitoring system detects an equipment fault, and to deliver the corresponding recovery notification. They are not used for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

No sharing of mobile numbers

We do not share, sell, rent, lease, trade, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or SMS consent to any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. The only disclosure of a mobile number is to our SMS carrier (Twilio) strictly as necessary to transmit the messages described in this policy, and to no one else. Text message originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and is entirely event-driven. Messages are sent only when the monitoring system detects an equipment fault or a recovery — approximately 1 to 5 messages per month. During a prolonged equipment problem the frequency may be higher.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and getting help

You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP at any time for assistance and contact information.

Retention and deletion

Mobile numbers are stored only in a private configuration file on a server controlled by Sturgeon Mining LLC, accessible only to the owner. A number is retained only while consent stands, and is deleted from our configuration when a recipient opts out or asks us to remove it.

Security

The configuration file containing mobile numbers is stored with owner-only file permissions on a private server and is not published, backed up to third-party services, or committed to any public repository.

Children

This service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will notify current recipients by SMS before the change takes effect.
