Sturgeon Mining LLC — Equipment Alert SMS Notifications
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Sturgeon Mining LLC operates a privately owned gold mining dredge. An automated monitoring system watches the vessel's onboard computer and its supporting software services. When it detects a fault — loss of power, loss of network connectivity, or an unresponsive onboard controller — it sends an SMS alert to enrolled recipients, and sends a further SMS when the system recovers. Messages contain a short status summary of the equipment.
This is a private operational notification service for the equipment owner and individuals he has expressly authorized. It is not offered to the general public. No marketing, promotional, affiliate, or third-party content is ever sent.
Recipients are enrolled only after giving explicit verbal consent to receive these messages at their mobile number, having been told what the service is, how often it sends, that message and data rates may apply, and how to get help or opt out. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency varies and is entirely event-driven. Messages are sent only when a fault or recovery occurs — approximately 1 to 5 messages per month. During a prolonged equipment problem the frequency may be higher.
Message and data rates may apply. Sturgeon Mining LLC does not charge for this service; any charges are those of your own mobile carrier under your own plan.
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT are all honored.
Reply HELP to any message for assistance and contact information, or email chris.rudolph@gmail.com.
Messages are delivered on major US mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
These alerts are a convenience notification only. The service is provided as-is and without warranty of any kind, including any warranty of availability, timeliness, or delivery. It must not be relied upon as a safety system, an alarm system, or the sole means of detecting an equipment fault or hazardous condition. Delivery depends on mobile carriers, internet connectivity, and equipment that may itself be the thing that has failed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sturgeon Mining LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from a delayed, undelivered, incorrect, or missing message, or from reliance on any message sent by this service.
Sturgeon Mining LLC may modify or discontinue the service at any time. Material changes to these terms will be communicated to enrolled recipients by SMS before taking effect.
See our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and confirms that mobile numbers are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
